{"id":42654,"date":"2025-07-23T12:57:26","date_gmt":"2025-07-23T10:57:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/optit.sviluppo.host\/caso-duso\/liquigas\/"},"modified":"2026-02-19T00:11:50","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T23:11:50","slug":"liquigas","status":"publish","type":"caso-duso","link":"https:\/\/optit.sviluppo.host\/en\/what-we-do\/use-cases\/liquigas\/","title":{"rendered":"Liquigas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>To strategically address the evolution of its distribution network, Liquigas, one of the leading Italian operators in the supply of LPG and LNG, has chosen Optit as a consulting partner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>There were two main objectives:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>to optimise existing distribution by reducing costs and gaps in service provision;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>to evaluate future scenarios, simulating the expansion of both the client base and storage hub network.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>The Optit team developed <\/span><b>a proprietary algorithm<\/b><span> which can be integrated into company systems through <\/span><b>interactive \u201cDashboards-as-a-Service\u201d<\/b><span>, to simulate and compare alternative distribution configurations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The model:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>calculates <\/span><b>the optimal customer-storage allocation<\/b><span>, minimising overall costs;<\/span><span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>models the entire <\/span><b>logistics flow<\/b><span>, from the primary loading base, to storage, all the way to delivery;<\/span><span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>streamlines the <\/span><b>reallocation of drivers and operators<\/b><span>, maximising the resource yield.<\/span><span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>The algorithm was tested using historical data and benchmarked against a meaningful baseline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The optimised proposal achieved a <\/span><b>4.3%<\/b><span> reduction in total costs across the entire supply chain, with measurable impacts at every stage of the process.
