The award recognized outstanding work based on problem relevance, scientific depth, practical application with real data, and communication effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the award for the best applied OR presentation was Lavinia Ghilardi, with an excellent study on &#8220;Optimal gas pipelines operation: sustainability and sector coupling.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Honorable mentions were awarded to:<br \/>\n\u2022 Aleyna G\u00fcrsoy \u2013 &#8220;Scheduling Blood Components Production: a Real-Life Case Study&#8221;<br \/>\n\u2022 Martina Doneda \u2013 &#8220;Robust operating rooms advance scheduling with probabilistic regression&#8221;<br \/>\n\u2022 Martina Galeazzo \u2013 &#8220;An Integer Programming Model for the Dynamic Airspace Configuration Problem&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>With over 30 participants, the high level of submissions reaffirmed the exceptional talent of young researchers\u2014essential for building a solid foundation of expertise, enthusiasm, and determination in applying Operations Research to Industry and Services.
