{"id":41554,"date":"2026-07-07T11:53:59","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T09:53:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/optit.sviluppo.host\/progetto-finanziato\/minoa\/"},"modified":"2026-07-07T11:53:59","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T09:53:59","slug":"minoa","status":"publish","type":"progetto-finanziato","link":"https:\/\/optit.sviluppo.host\/en\/funded-projects\/minoa\/","title":{"rendered":"MINOA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European project <b>MINOA<\/b> (Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Optimisation: Algorithms and Applications), funded by Horizon 2020 and with a duration of 4 years starting in 2018, was set up with the goal of training 12 highly qualified young researchers in the fields of mathematical optimisation, operational research and computer science.<\/p>\n<p>Optit participated in the project as a business partner, contributing to the development of applied initiatives in strategic sectors such as energy, logistics, engineering and data science. The core idea was to combine advanced mathematical approaches to tackle some of the most intricate issues in contemporary society, creating innovative and scalable solutions that can be applied across diverse business contexts.<\/p>\n<p>MINOA has created a network of European universities, research institutes and businesses that provide early career researchers with integrated training opportunities. The participants were able to develop interdisciplinary skills, moving between theory, algorithmic development and real-world implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Through this project, Optit helped strengthen Europe\u2019s human capital in the vital field of optimisation, promoting the use of advanced quantitative methods in industry and decision-making.<\/p>\n<p><i>This project has received funding from the European Union research and innovation programme Horizon 2020 \u2013 Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions, grant agreement no.
