Optit is a partner of ENABLE DHC, a European LIFE23-CET project that aims to transform district heating and cooling systems, making them more sustainable, flexible and efficient. The project involves 16 partners in 7 European countries including Austria, Ireland, Croatia and Italy, and addresses 9 case studies showcasing a variety of different contexts.
In the project, Optit takes responsibility for defining investment strategies for the decarbonisation of networks. We use our exclusive digital tools to build Digital Twins of existing infrastructures and to simulate projected scenarios with low environmental impact. Our contribution enables the comparison of retrofit options with new infrastructure, helping utilities providers outline development plans that align with Europe’s climate neutrality goals.
ENABLE DHC promotes dialogue between operators, researchers and institutions to promote the dissemination of best practices and to accelerate the impact of solutions developed at a local level. It is a project that looks ahead to the future, with science at its core.
