RETROFEED
Digital Twin and decarbonisation for the industry of the future.
RETROFEED is an innovative project funded by the Horizon 2020 program, launched in 2019 to run for a total of 42 months. Its purpose is to accelerate the retrofitting process of industrial plants in the ceramic, aluminium, steel, cement and agrochemical sectors using the integration of digital technologies and models based on Digital Twin.
Optit takes an active role in developing the decision-making tools that make it possible to move from traditional facilities to those optimised for decarbonisation. Our contribution is based on experience in mathematical modelling and the advanced use of artificial intelligence to support companies as they invest in ecological transition.
We work in a pan-European network of excellence, supporting research organisations and industrial partners to develop replicable and scalable solutions, capable of transforming the data collected from industrial facilities into operational decisions with low environmental impact.
Made with the contribution of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program for research and innovation (grant agreement no. 869939).
